Why do job seekers continue to post their resumes for free on Niche Job Boards when there are huge general job boards out there with all-purpose appeal? Well, there are 3 things Niche Job Boards do for job seekers that general job boards don’t:
1. Niche Job Boards at least attempt to assist job seekers in their job search process from the individual job seekers point of view. Even though a Niche Job Board can’t know all their viewpoints and the ones they do discover aren’t perfect, they make an effort to enhance the job search process for the individual job applicant.
2. Niche Job Boards support the self esteem of job seekers. During the job search process, job seekers who know their value and the value their skills can bring to a prospective employer do not want to be ‘lost in the sauce’ of general job boards.
3. Niche Job Boards show respect to job seekers by allowing the amplification of some specific skills/interests/tassel factor in addition to the job opportunity.
General job boards have their purpose—-for standard job applicants and standard employers that is. Niche Job Boards, on the other hand, allow particular job seekers to approach the job search process from their individual perspective-developed by their personal and professional experience, mindset , self confidence and character.
Yes, Niche Job Boards will continue to be part of the online job search trend by certain job seekers and online recruiting trend certain employers for one primary reason: there is no such thing as a typical job seeker or typical job opportunity.
Niche Job Boards simply offer a better way for applicants and employers to passively attract each other and to actively seek each other out above the noise of broad job boards. How appealing for the applicant and the employer with the advertised job opportunity. As a result, niche job boards ultimately have their purpose as well.
